Keegan, John. A History of Warfare. New York, Alfred A. Knopf, 1993. A History of Warfare will be the primary source of my work. Keegan's book details the changes in warfare and the major trends of each era across human history, starting from the Bronze Age up until World War 1. The book also explains many of the human costs of war and talks about things such as the affects of mustard gas in World War 1. The book also covers the rise of technologies such as revolving fire arms and how they pushed out older tech.
This source is invaluable for my work. Its thorough and detailed explanation of warfare across human history perfectly sums up the timeline I will be using for my project. This source will help me determine the eras I'll divide history into. As well as that the novel touches on the human cost and moral issues of modern warfare. It also covers technology, a key focus point of my project.

Strauss, Mark. "Ten Inventions That Inadvertently Transformed Warfare." It also mentions inventions that are more civilian that had impacts on warfare without directly being involved in warfare. The article also gives information about the process of inventing each item.
This article will be very useful for studying modern warfare. While the other research I've done is focused on almost entirely military tech this article focuses on more mundane or civilians innovations that resulted in military shifts. As well as this the article focuses on modern tech. Something I've learned from my research is that the modern era has experienced far more rapid shifts than previous eras in human history and this article will help me get a grasp on these rapid and frequent shifts.
